SHEDDING LIGHT ON HOMELESSNESS
The U.S. has nearly 650,000 homeless adults.
Over 10% are veterans.

THE FORGOTTEN , INC. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving homeless women age 55+ VETERANS & NON-VETERANS in the Phoenix, Arizona  metropolitan area.

Over 67,000 veterans are homeless

The U.S. has over 650,000 homeless people. Over 10% are veterans who have served this country.
Veterans are TWICE as likely as other Americans to become chronically homeless.

To end homelessness, a community-wide coordinated approach to delivering services, housing, and programs is needed. The solution to homelessness is simple – housing. Faster re-housing is an intervention designed to quickly connect people to housing and services. Sometimes people need longer-term rental assistance and support to achieve stability. Permanent supportive housing is a proven solution to homelessness for the most vulnerable.

You can help us reach our goals to meet basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter) and provide greater resources and programs for homeless women age 55 and over.

Donate funds

Be a blessing to veterans and others in need. Please give generously to support our unique population of underserved homeless individuals, women age 55 and above. Often times, these women experience homelessness because of specific circumstances such as disability and/or divorce. They need a compassionate hand UP, not a hand-out.

Partner with us

We could not help those in need without the community partnerships of business and individuals like you. There is no US without THEM. To become a partner, please consider the following contributions: tiny homes and tiny home-building supplies, employment or training opportunities, the donation of funding, services, bulk/ surplus goods, and/or products.

Give food & other items

We need a constant supply of construction materials, furniture, household goods, travel-size personal grooming items, new and gently used clothing (especially socks and shoes), canned goods, non-perishables, as well as seeds and plants to grow food. Whatever you have to share, particularly items that don't take up a lot of space, is much appreciated.

Volunteer

We're just getting ramped up, so we need a helping hand in every area of our mission. Do you know how to build a tiny home? Are you good with people? Do you like organizing stuff? Are you good at social media or fundraising? Are you a veteran who wants to give back? Whatever skills and interests you have to share, we really need you. Everyone with a heart to serve and help others is welcome.
